In 2004, Paul Pedersen founded FW:motion. After six and a half years with his previous employer, a large identity and access management software firm, Mr. Pedersen founded FW:motion in order to fill many of the service gaps he found during his ten plus years as a Web project manager and developer. Because of these service gaps and because of FW:motion's desire to see its customers truly succeed, FW:motion has developed some of the most unique, broadest reaching, and flexible programs of any Web firm today.

Often we are approached by small businesses about re-designing their Web sites. When asked why they feel they need a re-design, a common client response is, “Our competitors have better sites, so we need a better site.”

All too often, the emphasis of a company's Web site is placed on aesthetics and the posting of its "what-we-do" type information. In short, many companies think of Web presence as an online electronic brochure.

The primary differentiator between FW:motion and 95% of the Web development companies out there is that, while most Web firms cater to the quick design and a paycheck, FW:motion's main concern is ensuring our clients' success. Because of this, we take a step back and seek to truly understand what our clients are trying to accomplish with the Web. In other words, we want to know what, in our client's mind, will having a good design do for their organization? We are then able to pinpoint their goals and develop a plan to help their organization extend and meet those goals online.

Our goal is not to make a quick buck off of a re-design that will do nothing for an organization. We want to educate our clients and, through that education, allow them to take full advantage of the power of Internet marketing. We want our clients to be excited enough about what we did for them to be evangelical about our services ...And when they tell others what we did for them, we don't want them to just say, “FW:motion designed a cool site.” We want them to say, “FW:motion grew our busines, and it happened to look cool.”
